Woodbury accepted to Leading Change Institute

Institute gathers higher ed leaders to discuss critical issues

David Woodbury, Department Head of Learning Spaces & Services, has been selected to participate in the 2020 Leading Change Institute in Washington D.C. in June.

Sponsored by the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) and EDUCAUSE, the institute is designed for leaders in higher education, including CIOs, librarians, information technology professionals, and administrators, who are interested in working collaboratively to promote and initiate change on critical issues affecting the academy.

Selection to the Institute is competitive. Woodbury will join a cohort chosen to reflect the diverse and dynamic spectrum of experience found in the current higher education workplace. Leaders with at least seven years’ experience in the college or university environment are invited to apply, as are those who come from business, governmental or non-profit backgrounds.

“I am honored to be selected for the 2020 Leading Change Institute,” Woodbury says. “I am excited for the challenge to think critically about the big issues facing Higher Education and to develop processes and solutions alongside the librarians, technologists, and administrators who participate in the program. I hope the program will provide me insight on strategies to work across university units to address student success goals at NC State.”

“It is also humbling to join the other NC State University Libraries Leading Change alumni including Carolyn Argentati, Emily Lynema, Rob Rucker, and Jill Sexton,” Woodbury adds.
